The Black Toro opened its doors in July 2012 by Glen Waverley locals, Garen Maskal, Aret
Arzadian and Sasoon Arzadian, who wished to provide a higher level of dining to the already
bustling Kingsway strip. Inspiration came from the many colorful eateries of Latin America.
Fore fronted by our Head Chef – Garen Maskal, The Black Toro aims to provide a new and
fresh approach to Hispanic cuisine reworked to a modern Australian palate. The menu
continually evolves throughout the year in order to take full advantage of every ingredient
throughout the seasons.
With our youthful and knowledgeable staff we ensure you an amazing experience; entailing a
combination of innovative food, clever cocktails and a boutique wine list.
